“We were putting together a huge event, a day-long symposium to honor the 20-year anniversary of our president. "The 'Friends of Mercy Medical Center' holds a major fundraiser Ball for the hospital every year.  It's a great tradition, and this year marked our 72nd anniversary.  It was becoming increasingly difficult to meet the demans of producing a paper journal, with Mercy's small staff spending a great deal of time typesetting ads- while also juggling all of the other arrangements.  To raise more donations, we needed to keep the journal open longer.  That's basically why we turned to the online journal from EVENTjournal.com.
